Throughout training, there's the opportunity to learn from many different local teachers as well as those we bring in from other parts of the country. Many of those teachers are listed below.
As someone with a mind that never stopped, Sara was first intrigued by yoga because of the challenge to keep her mind quiet and focused while exploring movement of the body. She practiced on and off for years, never finding a studio that quite felt like home. In 2012, she discovered Yoga to the People while visiting New York. Immediately drawn to YTTP’s approach of yoga, she was thrilled when a Yoga to the People opened near her in Tempe, AZ. As yoga kept becoming a bigger part of her life, she knew that she needed to do Teacher Training so that she could deepen her knowledge and share this magic and power with others. Sara is honored to have received her 200 hour certification from the first Teacher Training program at the Tempe studio and has since helped facilitate the subsequent trainings.
After writing yoga off as something her hippie parents did, Audrey rediscovered yoga in 2008 when a friend brought her to a class at the YttP Berkeley studio. She had no idea at the time that it would become an integral part of how she balanced the demands of graduate school. It quickly became one of her biggest passions. She spent years studying Vinyasa and Traditional Hot Yoga and has explored several other practices including Ashtanga, Forrest, and Kids yoga. She received her 200 hr certification at Yoga to the People in NYC in 2011 and has since managed multiple studios in the San Francisco Bay Area and NYC. She has also helped to facilitate multiple trainings, including contributing to founding the training program in Tempe.

Matt Rulli, like so many others, found yoga through the fitness world. After serving 4 years in the Marine Corps, he took up endurance sports for a couple of years before finding and falling in love with the yoga practice.Since then, he spent two years acquiring his 200 hour RYT certification through an Iyengar-based yoga teacher training program with certified Iyengar teachers Carlyn Sikes and Marivic Wroebel. Soon after completing his teacher training, he was introduced to the Ashtanga Vinyasa method of Sri K. Pattabhi Jois, and has been a dedicated practitioner ever since.
